Job summary

technipower.vincere.io client in Westchester, Illinois seeks a seasoned Site Engineer to manage municipal capital improvement projects as the Resident Engineer, overseeing road, water, sewer, and streetscape work from preconstruction to final acceptance.

This direct-hire, on-site role may evolve to hybrid status. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 10+ years in municipal projects, IDOT documentation and CMMS familiarity, and Illinois PE licensure or reciprocity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in municipal engineering or related infrastructure work.
• Experience with IDOT documentation requirements and CMMS.
• Familiarity with construction inspection practices and municipal improvement projects.
• Illinois Professional Engineer license preferred (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
• Experience serving as a Resident Engineer or Construction Manager on municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Resident Engineer on municipal capital improvement projects, such as roadway reconstruction, water main replacement, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, streetscape, sidewalk, and utility improvement projects.
• Lead construction administration from preconstruction through final acceptance.
• Manage contractor coordination, scheduling, pay estimates, RFIs, change orders, and claims.
• Represent the Village during construction meetings.
• Coordinate with utility companies, agencies, and municipal staff.
• Mentor younger construction inspectors and project engineers.
• Maintain positive relationships with municipal clients.

I have a client located in the Westchester, Illinois area that has an opportunity for a Site Engineer.

In this role, you will working as a SiteEngineer for a client that works in the Municipal Industry. Serve as the Resident Engineer on municipal capital improvement projects, such as roadway reconstruction, water main replacement, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, streetscape, sidewalk, and utility improvement projects. Lead construction administration from preconstruction through final acceptance. Manage contractor coordination, scheduling, pay estimates, RFIs, change orders, and claims. Represent the Village during construction meetings. Coordinate with utility companies, agencies, and municipal staff. Mentor younger construction inspectors and project engineers. Maintain positive relationships with municipal clients.

This position is a Direct Hire role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked ON-SITE, with possible opportunity for hybrid status later on.

Job Requirements
