Job summary

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock is seeking a Site Engineer to join our project management teams. You will monitor dredging operations, ensure safety, and plan layouts for a fleet of vessels using GPS and hydrographic surveying tools.

Travel is required: 2 weeks on/1 week off, Wednesday to Wednesday. A strong background in civil, ocean, or mechanical engineering is preferred, with a commitment to excellence and teamwork in a dynamic maritime environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment that is incident and injury-free for you and those you work with every day so that everyone goes home safe.
• Utilize state-of-the-art technology to monitor and direct project activities and provide efficient dredging project execution. Our extensive fleet of GPS positioning software and hydrographic surveying equipment enables engineers to monitor every activity in near real time.
• Plan project layouts for a massive fleet of ocean and river-based vessels by maintaining dredge instrumentation and automation.
• Contribute to the company’s profitability through accurate tracking of dredging progress and survey processes.
• Achieve success by delivering quality control excellence on all project sites.
• Travel and work a 2 week on/1week off, Wednesday to Wednesday rotation.
• You must be able to obtain a TWIC.
