Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager in Perrysburg, OH. This role leads a comprehensive safety program, driving culture change and utilizing data analytics to prevent incidents while supporting operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include partnering with Operations, overseeing WHS training, recordkeeping, and site audits; ensuring readiness for emergencies and continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 5+ years in EHS/environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with 250+ employees; mix of exempt/non-exempt roles.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional preferred.
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with site leaders.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

Measure performance against WHS policies, analyze metrics, and conduct site audits to address non-compliance issues.

Strategic Partnership & Influence - Build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into every aspect of our business. Use compelling data analysis and risk insights to influence positive change and drive strategic decision-making. Establish yourself as a trusted advisor who balances safety excellence with operational demands. Oversee recordkeeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs.

Additional Job Elements Include

• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies
• Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site

Those that do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must obtain within 3 weeks of start date.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
• Master's degree
• Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment
• Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization
• Certified Safety Professional
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
• Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
