Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Site EHS Manager for the Fairfax site to lead environmental health and safety programs, ensure IMS compliance, and drive continuous improvement across production operations.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, 3+ years in EHS, knowledge of ISO 14001/45001, and strong English, with the ability to coordinate audits, reporting, and risk mitigation.

• Minimum three years of experience in EHS or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001/45001 and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Management Representative for the Environmental management system (IMS).
• Ensure EHS control plan is implemented (training, maintenance, sampling, monitoring).
• Maintain and communicate Environmental IMS requirements across the site.
• Report on IMS performance to top management and liaise with external bodies.
• Coordinate energy management documentation and actions with Energy Champion.
• Analyze accidents and incidents to define corrective actions with management.

• Job Title : Site EHS Manager
• Location : Fairfax Site - Kansas City
• Type of contract : Long-term At-will

Responsibilities :

• Serve as Management Representative for the Environmental management system (IMS)
• Ensures EHS control plan is fully implemented (Training, Maintenance, sampling and monitoring…)
• Ensures the establishment, implementation, maintenance and effective operation of the Environmental IMS, ensures that the requirements of this system are communicated, followed, maintained
  
• Reporting on the performance of the environmental management system to top management.
  
• Develop, contribute to, communicate, and maintain documentation to support the energy management system and support the action plan defined by Energy Champion
• Analyses accidents, incidents and occupational illnesses to set action plans with management
• Evaluates working conditions and site conformity to the legislation. Advises plant management in case of non-conformance in environmental, safety or working conditions. Proposes improvement of working conditions.
• Ensures all required Corporate, Divisional and legal reporting are performed timely. Analyses the data and recommends actions. Ensures liaison with external bodies (insurance companies, local legal entities,…)
• Has the authority for the approval of new chemicals for use in the plant, and the assurance of management.
  
• This position has the authority and responsibility to stop any process that endangers the safety or health of personnel, significant impacts on the environment, as well as the quality of the product that affect our customers, ensuring that the corresponding procedures are followed within the IMS.
• Coordinate follow-up with Energy champion and the Energy management programs
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and is part of the response and coordination efforts committee during these emergencies.
• Manages the safety audits and the Top safety observation program
• Together with management and MRO buyer, sources and validates appropriate personal protective equipment

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent education, ideally majoring in EHS
• Minimum three years of experience ( in EHS, Industrial or Technical environment)
• Good command of English, EHS local regulation, ISO 14001/45001, Environmental standards
