Fuss & O’Neill in Manchester, NH seeks an experienced Site Development Project Manager to join our Civil team. The role supports multiple site/civil engineering and land development projects for public and private clients, leading multi‑disciplinary teams through design, permitting, and construction support.

The ideal candidate is a licensed civil engineer with strong site design experience, capable of managing schedules, budgets, and client relations, while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills.
  • Prior project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight.
  • New Hampshire Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience with local and state permitting requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel to client sites and attendance at town/city public meetings.

Responsabilités

  • Preparing and reviewing site designs including layout, grading, utilities, erosion & sediment control, and site details.
  • Designing stormwater management systems.
  • Coordinating with municipal staff and attending Town/City public meetings.
  • Participating in field meetings and site visits.
  • Assisting with report preparation and local/state permit applications.
  • Supporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Development Project Manager to join our growing Civil team. This newly created position supports increasing project demand and expands our project management capacity across a range of site/civil engineering and land development projects for public and private clients, which require multi‑disciplinary consultant teams including, multi‑family housing, higher‑ed and K‑12 education, commercial, industrial, brownfields redevelopment, municipal parks and recreation, stormwater retrofit, and mixed‑use.

This role is well suited for a licensed civil engineer with strong site design experience who enjoys leading projects from concept through permitting and construction support. The Project Manager will oversee technical design, manage schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and work directly with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies to deliver high‑quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing site/civil engineering projects from initial scoping through design, permitting, and construction support

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills
  • Prior project management experience including contracts, QA/QC, scheduling, and staff oversight
  • New Hampshire Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Experience with local and state permitting requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required; HydroCAD preferred
  • Travel to client sites, and attendance at town and city public meetings

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
