Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Site Design team to provide basic project design through CAD drafting and schedules. You will mentor interns, perform design calculations, and travel to job sites for observation as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, at least 2 years of experience, and EI certification pending. Proficiency with Civil 3D is preferred and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must obtain Engineer Intern (EI) certificate.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic design elements for engineering projects.
• Performs basic plan production and task execution.
• Develops design and modeling knowledge in software.
• Assists with project documentation, schedules, and basic calculations.
• Coordinates with experienced engineers on non-routine tasks.
• Gathers research and drafts technical reports using prescribed methods.
• Mentors interns and helps develop basic technical skills.
• Manages project and client information within the firm’s PM system.
