Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a School Site Coordinator to lead Act 158 graduation planning and student support initiatives. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience in educational administration, counseling, or student support services.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with Act 158 graduation requirements and FAFSA processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Act 158 plan aligned with state regulations.
  • Advise students and families on Act 158 pathways including career/tech, AP, certifications.
  • Student tracking and monitoring toward graduation; identify barriers.
  • Analyze data to inform pathway selection and program improvements.
  • Build partnerships with local businesses, colleges, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate meetings and workshops with partners and external agencies.
  • Ensure campus compliance with Act 158 regulations.
  • Monitor FAFSA, Senior Surveys, College Applications, Scholarships, and jobs.
  • Facilitate college, trade, and community engagement for students.
  • Establish metrics and prepare regular leadership reports.
  • Provide staff training on Act 158 requirements and trends.

Overview

The Site Coordinator facilitates post- secondary planning, helping students navigate the transition from high school to their future endeavors beyond graduation. This position is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of the Pennsylvania Act 158 graduation pathways, ensuring students have access to various options to demonstrate college and career readiness beyond just standardized testing, including coordinating student tracking, pathway selection, and communication with stakeholders to facilitate successful graduation for all students under the Act 158 guidelines.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Act 158 plan:

  • Create a comprehensive plan for the campus that aligns with state regulations, outlining the various graduation pathways available to students under Act 158.

  • Advise students and their families on different Act 158 pathways including career and technical education options, advanced placement courses, industry certifications, and other relevant pathways.

  • Student Tracking and Monitoring:

  • Regularly monitor student progress towards graduation through the chosen Act 158 pathway, identifying potential barriers and providing necessary interventions.

  • Analyze student data to identify trends to inform decision-making pathway selection, program effectiveness, and areas for improvement.

  • Community Collaboration:

  • Build partnerships with local businesses, colleges, and community organizations to provide students with relevant career exploration opportunities and post-secondary pathways.

  • Coordinate meetings and workshops with community partners and external agencies to enhance support services.

  • Compliance with regulations:

  • Ensure the campus adheres to all state mandates and guidelines related to Act 158 graduation requirements.

Monitoring & Evaluation:


  • Monitors completion of FAFSA and Xello requirements or other technical platforms.
  • Completion of all Act 158 requirements.
  • Completion of FAFSA, Senior Surveys, College Applications, Scholarship opportunities, Job applications,
  • Facilitate college, trade, and community engagement with the student population.
  • Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness and monitor each student’s Act 158 progress.
  • Prepare regular reports for school leadership outlining outcomes, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Share progress and data with the student’s education team.

  • Professional Development:

  • Provide training and guidance for staff to ensure best practices for Act 158 requirements.

  • Stay current on educational trends, policies, and research related to student transitions and integrate findings into program improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience in educational administration, counseling, or student support services.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including students, families, and school personnel.

  • Familiarity with student support services, special education practices, or related areas is an asset.

Posted Salary Range

USD $50,000.00 - USD $58,000.00 /Yr.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to run short distances and move swiftly in response to student needs, including bending, kneeling, and crouching.

  • Ability to lift and assist students with mobility challenges, often requiring the handling of up to 50 pounds or more.

  • Skill in managing fine motor tasks, such as helping students with writing, manipulating small objects, or using adaptive devices.

  • Ability to operate a computer or tablet for up to 8 hours daily.

  • Capacity to notice and respond to non-verbal cues from students

  • Capacity to remain calm and composed during physically and emotionally demanding situations, ensuring student safety and well‑being.
