PlayWorks in Detroit is seeking a Site Coordinator to support program delivery in schools. This full-time position involves working directly with educators and school staff to implement play-based programming, fostering an engaging play environment for students.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coach school staff effectively. A starting salary of $44,300 annually is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

We are seeking a motivated team member to support program delivery, coach school staff, and help create engaging play environments across partner sites. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work. This role is responsible for executing Playworks’ program model with consistency and quality across assigned partner schools, under the leadership of the Associate Program Director.
As the Site Coordinator, you will support implementation of Playworks programming through coaching, modeling, and collaboration with school staff. You will work directly with school administration, teachers, and recess teams to apply Playworks strategies and systems that support a positive and engaging play environment.
Location Requirement: This position must be based in Southeast Michigan and requires consistent in-person engagement with school and community partners.
Travel Requirement: This role requires regular local travel between assigned partner schools. School assignments are typically consistent, though adjustments may occur based on regional needs.
Reliable transportation is required.
