Job summary

Dewberry's Richmond, Virginia office is seeking a Site/Civil Project Engineer to move projects from concept to completion, including design work, plan and permit processing, and construction phase services.

You will work with the Senior Project Manager, coordinate site/civil design aspects, supervise junior staff, and assist in preparing construction documents, budgets, and quality control to deliver engineered designs.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• 1–6 years of civil design experience in land development including grading, stormwater, erosion & sediment control, streets, storm drainage and water/sewer design.
• PE license in Virginia preferred.
• Proficient in graphics, exhibits, and Site/Civil Construction Plans preparation.
• Strong technical skills in Civil 3D or similar model-based software.
• Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate all site/civil design aspects.
• Collaborate with Senior Project Manager and agency staff.
• Supervise internal junior staff.
• Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and cost estimates; ensure quality control/assurance.
