HDR Charlotte is seeking a Site Civil Engineering Intern/Co-Op to gain real-world experience in site development and civil design. You will work under the guidance of professionals in HDR’s Building Engineering Services group, applying AutoCAD and Civil 3D on active projects. This is a full-time, temporary position designed for student professionals in the Charlotte area.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with engineering software.

Responsabilités

• Assist on site development projects under supervision.
• Support project engineers with standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and mentors across BES group.
• Participate in mentoring programs and professional development activities.
• Contribute to design reviews and documentation as needed.

HDR is currently seeking a Site Civil Engineering Intern/Co-Op to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) Group in our Charlotte, NC office.

In this role, we'll count on you to:

• Gain real-world experience on exciting site development projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professional’s programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
• Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
