Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a Site Civil Engineer Intern to join our Civil Engineering team in Charlotte, NC. You will design site layouts, develop concept and grading plans using Autodesk Civil 3D, and contribute to hydrology and stormwater efforts.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering with 0–2 years of related experience, and have knowledge of Hydraulics/Hydrology. Occasional field work and local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Civil Engineering required.
• 0–2 years related experience.
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D preferred.
• Hydraulics and Hydrology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
• Strong interest and working knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management.
• Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks.
• Work with project management team to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
• Perform pavement assessments and compiling data and reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
