Job summary

Tighe & Bond’s Providence, RI office is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join the Site Civil Design Team and help deliver infrastructure projects across the Northeast. This hybrid internship offers mentorship, hands-on CAD tasks, and exposure to permitting, design development, and construction document work.

You will work with industry experts, perform data analysis, CAD drafting, and engineering calculations under supervision, gaining real-world experience in civil/environmental

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Previous and relevant work experience.
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to solve engineering problems.
• Flexibility, a positive attitude, and open-mindedness.
• Hands-on experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or HydroCAD.

Responsibilities

• Research, compile, and examine a wide variety of project-related data
• Assist staff with various projects and/or field assignments
• Perform computer-aided drafting tasks and create basic plans in AutoCAD
• Perform engineering calculations under the direction of an engineer
• Prepare written communications including emails, memorandum, field reports, and specifications
