Job summary

PLA is seeking a Sit Down Forklift Operator in Ottawa, KS, to support warehouse operations. You will operate a sit-down forklift, load/unload trailers, and maintain accurate documentation while following safety procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, 6 months forklift experience when possible, and on-site certification. A dependable team player with strong safety awareness is needed to join this growing logistics provider.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of forklift operating experience preferred.
• Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift.
• Must pass PLA's forklift certification test (on-site certification provided if needed).
• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a sit-down forklift to support warehouse operations.
• Load and unload pallets to and from trailers with precision.
• Move pallets to correct locations to maintain organization.
• Conduct daily inspections and ensure forklift is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate counts and documentation for loads and trailer shipments.
• Keep the work area clean, safe and compliant with guidelines.
• Assist in other warehouse tasks to support team operations.
