Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California is seeking a Software Engineer for Siri Attention And Invocation to help advance Siri's capabilities across speech recognition, natural language understanding, and dialogue management.

Collaborate with software and ML engineers to prototype user-facing features and ship them to millions of users. You will develop end-to-end Siri features, understand the Siri architecture, and build scalable, maintainable systems while working with XF teams and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Proficiency in object oriented programming (e.g. Swift, C++, or Objective-C).
• Excellent algorithm and data structure skills (time and space complexity analysis, optimization).
• Proven ability to quickly learn and modify large, existing code base.
• Passion for building demo prototypes and turning them into production quality design/implementation.
• Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Enthusiasm for learning and applying data science and machine learning on the job.
• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with voice assistant technologies or conversational AI systems.
• Background in signal processing, natural language processing, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• As a key contributor, you will develop Siri features end‑to‑end, proactively collaborating with XF teams as needed for progression.
• You will also work with multiple teams across the organization to gain a deep understanding of the Siri architecture.
• This role involves developing systems that are highly reliable, scalable, and surprisingly easy to maintain.
• Furthermore, you will be actively involved in collaborating on product direction, providing feedback constructively, and safely bringing new issues up for team discussion.
