Job summary

Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals LLC, part of Plansee Group, in Indianapolis is seeking a 3rd shift Industrial Furnace Operator to support sintering operations. You will operate one or more furnaces, load copper and silver alloy per instructions, and manage multiple tasks to meet production demand.

Candidates should have 1–3 years’ experience in sintering or heat-treat environments, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in high ambient temperatures while maintaining records per company

Qualifications

• 1+ years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential job duties and responsibilities.
• Good attention detail.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a long period of time, 90% of the time is spent standing or stooping.
• MUST be able to work in high ambient working temperature.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a sintering, heat treating, or industrial baking environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more furnaces based on work demand per information for sintering.
• Load copper and silver alloy per work instructions and will be required to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
• Prepare pressed parts for furnace operation per manufacturing instructions.
• Set furnace equipment to align with specific job requirements.
• Remove product from furnace in accordance with safety guidelines and prepare parts for next operation.
• Review product post furnace to ensure quality standards are met.
• Must be able to maintain records in accordance with company policy.
