Morrison Healthcare in Elizabethton, TN seeks a dedicated Clinical Dietitian to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in a hospital setting. You will join a collaborative team covering med/surg and geriatric behavioral health with a focus on evidence-based nutrition care.

Ideal candidates are RDNs licensed in TN, with preference for 2 years of specialty experience. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and professional growth opportunities within Compass Group network.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Education: Guide patients, families, staff on nutrition and lifestyle strategies.
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply current research with facility policies to ensure high-quality care.
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Support QAPI initiatives to advance patient care.
• Collaboration: Work with food service management to meet patient satisfaction goals.
• Mentorship: Support dietetic interns and staff development as applicable.

Make a real impact as a Clinical Dietitian! You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education for patients in a specialty area, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

What You’ll Do:

• Clinical Nutrition Care: Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
• Education: Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
• Evidence-Based Practice: Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
• Quality & Performance Improvement: Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
• Collaboration & Service Excellence: Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
• Mentorship & Professional Development: Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable

What We’re Looking For:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
• Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
• Specialty certification when required
• Two years of work experience in specialty preferred
