Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Simulink Controls Engineer for a contract role located in Erie, PA. The position involves converting MATRIXx models to MATLAB/Simulink and validating them on both virtual and Erie lab setups.

You will read existing models, design tests, and present results to the OHV team, while ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to engineering policies. The role requires strong MATLAB/Simulink experience and multi-location collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of Matlab/Simulink work experience.
• Experience with vehicle control and vehicle design.
• Experience with control modeling.
• Experience with MATRIXx.

Responsibilities

• Convert MATRIXx control models to Simulink models following design guidelines.
• Read and understand MATRIXx and Simulink models.
• Conduct verification and validation testing on a virtual truck and in the Erie lab.
• Regularly present models and testing results to the OHV team.
• Document architectural design, models, and test results.
• Analyze Simulink model outcomes vs MATRIXx results and present findings.
• Develop test plans for Simulink and MATRIXx models on virtual and lab setups.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced lab environment and communicate project status.
