Job summary

V2X Inc is seeking a Simulation Technician III to support the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions at Fort Benning, GA. The role involves performing maintenance on TADSS and GFP, wiring, testing, and following manuals and checklists to ensure readiness for training exercises.

The technician will lead maintenance activities, coordinate with supervisors, and document all work in real-time using InSITE, while maintaining compliance with warranty terms and safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leads electronic maintenance activities including resourcing and training.

• Responsible for configuration management of all maintenance on TADSS and GFP.
• Installs modifications or upgrade kits per manufacturer instructions.
• May serve as preventive rover for unstaffed sites.
• May install and maintain software/hardware and manage patches and security.

Job Summary V2X has a requirement for a Simulator Technician III on the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) to support at the Digital Ranges Training Systems (DRTS) at Fort Benning, GA. The Simulator Technician III applies technical knowledge to perform tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes. The Sim Tech-III provides scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance, following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available. This person works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Leads electronic maintenance activities including resourcing and training other electronic technicians.
• Performs scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP, following technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, or industry best practices when no checklist is available.
• Informs the government of the maintenance timelines for both staffed and unstaffed sites, including notifying when personnel need to travel for maintenance purposes or to support increased demand.
• Ensures maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing.
• Records all maintenance activities in real-time in InSITE.
• Adheres to warranty terms for maintained items, tracking them by part number, serial number, and location.
• Sets up and tests TADSS to confirm they work as expected, including interoperability and operation verification.
• Monitors hardware baselines, reverting to previous versions if updates fail.
• Analyzes maintenance trends, tracks component consumption, manages obsolescence, implements risk management strategies, and conducts failure analysis to minimize risks and improve system reliability.
• Responsible for configuration management of all maintenance on TADSS and GFP devices.
• Installs modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer's instructions.

• May be responsible for installing and maintaining software and hardware installs and managing patches and security compliance for installed applications and operating systems.

• Work is subject to high noise levels and vibration.
• Work is performed in an environment with high dust, pollen, and wind.
• Requires physical presence around high voltage, machinery, and unprotected heights.
• Work may require protective clothing and equipment for feet, hands, head, eyes, and ears.
• Ability to lift and carry items not to exceed 50 lbs.
• Physical dexterity to push/pull, climb/balance, bend/stoop, twist/turn, kneel/crouch, crawl, reach overhead, grasp, use feet for foot controls.
• Ability to stand unaided for eight (8) hours or more.
• Valid State Driver’s License and retain Post Driving Privileges.
• Must be able to acquire a Government Common Access Card (CAC).
• Must be able to travel up to 50%
