Job summary

CAE is seeking Simulator Technicians for our training centers in Orlando and Sanford. You will perform preventative maintenance on simulators and related systems, diagnose routine issues, and conduct pre- and post-flight tasks, visual alignments, and QTGs.

You will also document activities in the CMMS, support refurbishment, and assist with logistics and customer service. Responsibilities include following CAE’s quality system, completing required training, and traveling up to 10% in support of

Qualifications

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training.
  • 1 year of simulator-related experience in Electronics/avionics, automated systems, or networking repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
  • Basic skills with test equipment and soldering.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on simulators and related systems.
  • Diagnose and fix routine simulator problems.
  • Conduct pre- and post-flight tasks on designated simulators.
  • Perform basic visual alignments and run QTGs.
  • Use the maintenance system to record activities and complete training.
  • Assist refurbishment, hardware modifications, and logistics tasks.
  • Provide customer service and support, including aftercare on-site.

Job description

CAE, is looking for Simulator Technicians for our training centers in Orlando and Sanford.

Description

In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

  • Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.
  • Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight tasks on designated simulators.
  • Perform basic visual alignments.
  • Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
  • Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
  • Complete all designated training activities.
  • Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
  • Learn and comply with CAE’s quality management system.
  • Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
  • Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
  • Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.
  • Perform required administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2‑year technical degree or equivalent related training.
  • 1 year of simulator‑related experience in one of the following: Electronics/avionics Automated systems Computer networking repair and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
  • Basic skills in operating test equipment.
  • Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair.
  • Some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite.
  • Able to travel (less than 10%).
