Job summary

Delaware Resource Group of Oklahoma, LLC in Texas seeks a skilled technician to perform preventive maintenance on simulator systems, diagnose complex problems, and repair training devices using system manuals and technical documents.

You will inspect, document maintenance actions, monitor repair status, support engineering needs, and ensure safe operation of simulators and related networks in a shop floor environment, with some physical tasks as described.

Qualifications

• Proficient in interpreting maintenance manuals and technical documents.
• Assists in minor hardware modifications and software updates to improve simulator operability.
• Conducts quality control inspections and documents maintenance work.
• Monitors repair status and records maintenance activities.
• Supports Engineering requirements as needed.
• Interprets advanced technical data from simulator and aircraft systems.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and performs operability/readiness tests.
• Performs basic troubleshooting on interfaces and peripheral equipment.
• Provides networking and information systems support on training devices and networks.
• Maintains good relations with customers and ensures information flow within the organization.

Description

Apply knowledge and experience to conduct system preventative maintenance and as well as solve system problems from simple to complex. Technicians use system specific maintenance manuals and other technical documents to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair simulator devices.

Requirements

• Applies technical knowledge to solve problems by properly interpreting maintenance manuals or other technical documents.


• Assists, where requested, in the design of minor hardware system modifications and software programs to improve simulator operability.


• Conducts quality control inspections and inspects maintenance work.


• Monitors and tracks the repair status of inoperative equipment and document maintenance activities utilizing the logistics management database system.


• Supports Engineering requirements where needed/requested.


• Uses knowledge of simulator and aircraft systems to interpret advanced technical data.


• Interprets and works with computer systems utilizing various and multiple operating systems.


• Diagnoses malfunctions of computers and associated equipment and performs operability/readiness tests and repair.


• Apply fundamental troubleshooting procedures in the maintenance of interfaces and peripheral equipment used with computers.


• Provides networking and information systems support on training devices and networks.


• Maintains good relations with customers and ensures information flows within technical organization.

• Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment.

• Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical, moving mechanical parts and by hydraulics under high pressure.
