Atrium Health in Concord, NC is seeking a Simulation Service Line Nurse Educator with a Master's degree and RN licensure to lead simulation-based education across facilities. The role combines clinical expertise, education, and system thinking to advance patient care and staff development.
The educator will develop and evaluate simulation curricula, mentor educators, and promote evidence-based practice while coordinating with multiple sites in the Charlotte area.
Full time. Hours per week: 40. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, occasional evening and Saturdays.
$44.15 - $66.25
Master's prepared nurse who applies clinical expertise in evidence-based nursing practice within a simulation education in the following roles: clinical expert, educator, system thinker, change agent, and innovator. This position will support simulation at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in Concord, NC and various locations around the Charlotte area.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse by the N.C. Board of Nursing. Master's in nursing, Nursing Education or Health Care Administration required. Two years of teaching experience preferred. Must show evidence of job-specific competencies. Minimum three years clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a practice area. Knowledge of adult learning principles, curriculum and program development, program evaluation, self-learning modules. Proficient at Microsoft Office programs and use of AV equipment. Certification in simulation preferred and must be achieved within two years of hire date. Life Support Instructor Certification may be required based on the needs of the patient population served.
Frequent moderate lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying. Frequent walking, standing, stooping and reaching. Must be able to travel throughout hospital campuses and offsite properties. General hospital office environment with exposure to chemicals, pathogens and patient body fluids. Environment is climate controlled. Subject to long and irregular hours.
