Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Simulation Framework Engineer (L2) to help develop and maintain software that connects modeling and simulation environments with core autonomy software. You will write C++ and Python, build adapters, and support reusable components for autonomy developers.

This early-career role offers exposure to NGTS, AFSIM, Aechelon, HMSSimBlocks, HMSF, and ongoing migration work with senior engineers in a defense-focused team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
• Foundational C++ and Python programming experience.
• Familiar with Linux development environments and scripting.
• Knowledge of Git version control, debugging, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain simulation adapters, plugins, and interfaces in C++ and Python.
• Assist with migrations and integrations from HMSSimBlocks to HMSF.
• Write unit and integration tests and contribute documentation.
