Job summary

Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA is seeking a SilverSneakers BOOM Muscle Instructor to lead a strength-focused class for active older adults. The instructor will create a welcoming environment with safe, effective instruction for varying fitness levels.

Applicants must be certified through Tivity Health to teach SilverSneakers BOOM Muscle. Schedule is part-time on Thursdays from 10:00–11:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Experience leading group exercise classes for older adults.
• Ability to modify workouts for varying fitness levels.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead SilverSneakers BOOM Muscle class focusing on muscular strength and balance.
• Provide safe, effective instruction with proper form and modifications as needed.
• Maintain attendance records and equipment setup for each class.
• Attend required trainings and certifications to stay current with YMCA policies.
