Job summary

Apple in Cupertino, CA is seeking engineers to develop and optimize software for lab characterization and silicon validation. You will work on embedded system software for lab instrumentation, including hardware bring-up and interfaces like SPI, I2C, and UART.

You will perform signal analysis on analog/mixed-signal waveforms, build data pipelines, and apply AI/ML methods (PyTorch/TensorFlow) for pattern recognition. Strong Python/C/Tcl skills required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Experience designing and analyzing analog, mixed-signal, and power circuits for silicon validation.
• Experience in embedded systems with microcontrollers or FPGAs and hardware bring-up.
• Proficiency in Python, C, and Tcl for test automation and lab tooling.
• Experience with signal analysis (time-domain & frequency-domain) using NumPy/SciPy/MATLAB.
• Experience in data management using SQL databases and data analytics tools.
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques with PyTorch or TensorFlow for pattern recognition in measurement data.
• Use of PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV for CNNs and computer vision pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize software for lab characterization and silicon validation.
• Design embedded system software for lab instrumentation and hardware bring-up.
• Perform signal analysis on analog/mixed-signal waveforms to extract parameters.
• Build data warehousing and visualization pipelines for large measurement datasets.
• Develop AI/ML solutions for predictive modeling and pattern recognition in measurements.
• Create computer vision pipelines for monitoring lab equipment and chip handling.
