Job summary

PsiQuantum is seeking a Silicon Photonics Engineer to drive the design and implementation of next-generation photonic integrated circuits. This position involves the full development cycle from concept generation to design verification.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics with at least 5 years of experience in integrated photonics, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in photonic device design.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant work or academic research experience in integrated photonics.
• Extensive experience in photonic design and performance evaluation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Interact with teams to assist in development of photonic systems.
• Support tape outs with device design and layout.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for tapeouts.
• Resolve technical issues associated with components and systems.
• Apply analysis to determine root cause of technical problems.

Skills

Computational and analytical skills

Knowledge of photonic devices and testing techniques

Photonic layout using tools like IPKISS and gdsfactory

Experience with Python for scientific applications
