You are a motivated self starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively across firmware, silicon, validation, and architecture teams. You have strong debugging and problem solving skills and are comfortable owning technical problems from initial investigation through root cause and resolution.

You have excellent technical communication and interpersonal skills and can provide technical leadership on complex firmware development and platform bring up activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, develop, integrate, and debug platform management and power management firmware for AMD SoCs
  • Lead firmware feature development from pre silicon through silicon bring up, validation, and production
  • Debug complex firmware and hardware interactions and drive issues through root cause and resolution
  • Collaborate with architecture, silicon, BIOS, validation, and power teams to define and deliver platform features
  • Provide technical leadership, design and code reviews, and mentorship to other firmware engineers
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with pre silicon development and post silicon bring up and debug
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills across firmware and hardware boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own complex firmware features and technical problems
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI assisted development and debugging tools to improve firmware quality, debug efficiency, and engineering productivity
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
