Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of semiconductor development experience (design, verification, systems, or related SoC areas).
  • Experience working on cross-functional projects in a technical environment.
  • Exposure to IP development, evaluation, or integration in SoC programs (preferred).
  • Familiarity with basic contract or licensing concepts (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with IP sourcing, evaluation, benchmarking, and supplier assessment.
  • Contribute to technical supplier engagements, including requirements definition and technical negotiations.
  • Support Procurement in cost modeling and financial analysis.
  • Coordinate supplier interactions, track progress, and assist with escalation management.
  • Assist with licensing compliance and internal governance processes.

This position is NOT open to 100% remote.**Team Description**Join a *highly* *collaborative team* at the center of NXP’s semiconductor R&D organization. The team is responsible for sourcing, licensing, and managing third-party IP used in advanced SoCs across automotive, connectivity, and edge processing markets.You will work at the intersection of engineering, product strategy, and business decision-making, enabling the integration of external technologies into NXP products that power modern vehicles, connected devices, and industrial systems.**Job Summary**As an IP Licensing Specialist, you will contribute to the sourcing and integration of third-party semiconductor IP (Intellectual Property), supporting activities from IP evaluation through supplier selection, contracting, and delivery into silicon.You will work across technical and business domains, collaborating with architects, design engineers, product teams, legal, procurement, and finance to define requirements, evaluate IP solutions and suppliers, and support execution of licensing agreements.
