Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks a Signal Support Systems Specialist to integrate signal systems and networks, perform signal support functions and maintain radio and data distribution systems, while training others.

You will begin with 10 weeks of Basic Training and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, earn a regular paycheck during drill weekends, and become eligible for tuition assistance and Montgomery GI Bill benefits for civilian work after service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles required.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and line installation.
• Understanding of basic wiring techniques and LAN basics.
• Awareness of communication security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain radio and data distribution systems.
• Perform signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems.
• Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks.
• Maintain equipment, terminal devices, vehicles, and generators.
