Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Signal Support Systems Specialist to install, operate, and maintain radio and data distribution systems. You will supervise and train junior soldiers while ensuring reliable communications for unit operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, support LANs, and maintain power generators and terminal devices. This civilian-ready path offers paid training and tuition assistance during the Guard program.

Qualifications

• Mastery of mechanical and electrical principles as they apply to signal equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures on electronic gear.
• Familiarity with line installation and wiring techniques.
• Understanding of communication security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain radio and data distribution systems.
• Provide signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems.
• Support local area networks through training and guidance.
