Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Signal Support Systems Specialist to ensure reliable communications and data distribution for units. You will install, operate, and maintain radio and data systems while supervising peers as needed.

In this role you will perform maintenance, provide technical assistance for automation equipment and LANs, and train soldiers in signal operations during Basic and Advanced Individual Training. A civilian career path and benefits follow your service.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain radio and data distribution systems.
• Perform signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems.
• Provide technical assistance and training for local area networks.
• Maintenance for equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles, and power generators.
