Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer in Redmond, WA. You will develop SIPI collateral, define test methodologies, and perform SI/PI simulations for cutting-edge hardware, collaborating across teams to ensure robust electrical designs.

You will validate designs in the lab, participate in design reviews, and produce reports that raise the technical bar for hardware across Amazon Leo programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Background in transmission line theory and electromagnetics.
• Hands-on experience with RF/microwave EM simulation tools.
• Experience with VNAs, oscilloscopes, and high-fidelity probing techniques.

Key job responsibilities

As a Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for developing SIPI collateral supporting system integration of the latest technology, defining and developing Signal and Power Integrity test methodologies, participating in design reviews, performing SI and PI simulations, providing reports, collaborating with other engineers, validating your designs in the lab, and setting a high technical bar for hardware designs across Amazon Leo.

About The Team

The SI/PI team interacts broadly across the entirety of Amazon Leo to deliver electrical designs. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams within Leo spanning electrical and ASIC design, from consumer electronics to high-reliability, space grade products. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before. Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or experience working in electrical engineering field


• Background and/or relevant coursework in transmission line theory and electromagnetics


• Hands-on experience using EM simulation tools such as ANSYS HFSS, EMC Studio, CST Microwave Studio, ADS, Hyperlynx, Sigrity.


• Experience using VNAs, oscilloscopes, and/or high-fidelity probing techniques.


• Experience participating in schematic and design reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools – Mentor Xpedition preferred


• Experience in PDN design, simulation, and lab validation for power integrity


• Experience in with silicon and package-level signal and power integrity analysis


• Experience in signal integrity design and simulation of high-speed interfaces such as DDR, Ethernet, JESD, and PCIe.


• Proficiency in PCB re-work such as soldering small components, affixing connectors and probe tips

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
