Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Signal Support Systems Specialist to keep radio and data networks flowing and ensure unit readiness. You will install, operate, and maintain signal equipment while training others in technical procedures.

You will gain hands-on experience with LANs, terminal devices, and electrical/mechanical fundamentals, with paid training and opportunities for career certification through the Guard.

Qualifications

• Enlistment in Army National Guard required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Between 17 and 35 years old at enlistment.
• Willing to learn electronics and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain radio and data distribution systems.
• Provide technical assistance for computer systems and LANs.
• Maintain equipment, terminal devices, vehicles, and generators.
• Install and train others in signal support procedures.
