Job summary

Responsibilities include interpreting for students and other stakeholders, coordinating logistics, promoting captioning, pursuing professional development, and collaborating with FCPS interpreters and IEP teams

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Fluent in Sign Language essential.
• Completion of an interpreter training program; 3 years experience may substitute.
• Certification from RID, VQAS, EIPA, NAD preferred.
• Capable of performing essential functions with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Interprets/transliterates for students, conveying thought and intent per IEP.
• Interprets for stakeholders in preferred communication mode.
• Coordinate facility logistics and ensure clear line of sight for interpreters.

Skills
