Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. seeks skilled on-site interpreters to deliver high-quality American Sign Language interpretation at various customer locations as needed. Interpreters must be fluent in ASL and spoken English, with accurate interpretation and knowledge of NAD-RID conduct.

Pay ranges from $15.74 to $65 hourly, depending on location, education, certifications, and interpreter specialties. Part-time/flex roles offer benefits and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Provide accurate interpretation.
• Deep understanding of Deaf culture.
• Thorough knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials where applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the Interpreter will provide high quality professional American Sign Language interpreting on-site at various customer locations when needed. Interpreters must possess fluent American Sign Language and spoken English language skills, accurate interpreting skills, and thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Pay Range: $15.74-$65 (based on location, education, certifications, and interpreter specialties)

Job Requirements

• Must be able to work at least two hours per quarter
• Must pass the company's interpreting skills assessment

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills
• Able to provide accurate interpretation

• As applicable, state licensure or state required credentials
