Ampersand Therapy in Seattle, WA is hiring a full-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter for the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person role serves a high school assignment, Monday through Friday, supporting a Deaf/hard of hearing student throughout the day.

You'll collaborate with an educational team, facilitate classroom communication, and help students access curriculum and social interactions, with a values-driven, therapist-founded agency committed to equity and community involvement.

Qualifications

• ASL interpreter with EIPA 4.0+ score required.
• Fingerprinting is required before start.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 interpretation for a student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the student’s educational team.
