Job summary

Signarama Louisville East is seeking a dependable Sign Installer to safely install, service, and remove commercial signage including channel letters and cabinets. The role requires mechanical aptitude, comfort with heights, and professional representation at customer locations.

The ideal candidate has experience in sign installation, reading drawings, and basic electrical knowledge. Schedule is full-time with competitive hourly pay and benefits; CDL is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Sign installation experience preferred.
• Ability to read installation drawings and accurately use a tape measure and level.
• Basic knowledge of electrical signs and LED systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install illuminated and non-illuminated commercial signage.
• Install channel letters, raceways, sign cabinets, dimensional letters, monument signs, pole signs, vinyl graphics, and other signage.
• Read and interpret installation drawings, site plans, measurements, and work orders.
• Accurately lay out and position signs according to approved drawings.
• Drill and install anchors and mounting hardware for various surfaces.
• Perform basic electrical connections and LED troubleshooting as permitted by policy.
• Operate bucket trucks, aerial lifts, ladders and other equipment.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload signs and materials.
• Use hand and power tools, drills, saws, levels, measuring equipment.
• Perform sign removals, service calls, repairs, and maintenance.
• Inspect installations for alignment, operation, appearance, workmanship.
• Protect customer property and maintain a clean job site.
• Communicate professionally with customers and other trades on sites.
• Take completion photos and provide required documentation.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, equipment in good condition.
• Work with project managers and teams to complete projects on schedule.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Sign Installer to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and professional installation, service, and removal of commercial signage, including channel letters, illuminated cabinets, wall signs, monument signs, pole signs, dimensional lettering, and other interior and exterior signage. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working at heights, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands the importance of representing our company professionally at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install illuminated and non-illuminated commercial signage.
• Install channel letters, raceways, sign cabinets, dimensional letters, monument signs, pole signs, vinyl graphics, and other signage.
• Read and interpret installation drawings, site plans, measurements, and work orders.

• Drill and install appropriate anchors and mounting hardware for various wall and building surfaces.
• Perform basic electrical connections and LED troubleshooting as permitted by company policy and applicable licensing requirements.
• Operate bucket trucks, aerial lifts, ladders, and other installation equipment.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload signs and installation materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, drills, saws, levels, measuring equipment, and other installation tools.
• Perform sign removals, service calls, repairs, and maintenance.
• Inspect completed installations for proper alignment, operation, appearance, and workmanship.
• Protect customer property and maintain a clean job site.
• Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, property managers, and other trades on job sites.
• Take completion photographs and provide required job documentation.
• Follow OSHA requirements and all company safety procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition.
• Work closely with project managers, production staff, and other installers to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous sign installation, construction, electrical, or related field experience preferred.
• Commercial sign installation experience is a major plus.
• Ability to read installation drawings and accurately use a tape measure and level.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience operating bucket trucks and aerial lifts preferred.
• Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and elevated work areas.
• Basic knowledge of electrical signs and LED systems preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional attitude when interacting with customers.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• CDL is a plus but not required unless needed for specific company vehicles.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50–75 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work safely at elevated heights.
• Ability to load, unload, position, and install large sign components.

Schedule: Full-Time

Experience: Sign installation experience preferred. Construction, electrical, welding, fabrication, or other related experience will also be considered.

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
