Job summary

Front Signs, a Los Angeles-based printing and sign-making company, is seeking a Sign Installer to handle wide-ranging duties related to the physical installation of signs. The ideal candidate has prior print or signs production/installation experience and the physical ability to perform this job.

Responsibilities include field collaboration with fabricators, site surveys, prepping hardware, mounting interior/exterior signage, and ensuring safety and quality throughout installation.

Qualifications

• The candidate has 3+ years installation experience in a Sign Shop environment.
• Experience measuring and cutting material to exact specs.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to learn and conduct quality control checks.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Knowledge of electrical/wiring (preferred).
• High attention to detail.
• Experience with fabrication equipment, tools, and hardware.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Knowledge of standard safe work practices.
• Valid driving license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with fabricators on the field.
• Inspect signs for defects before shipment or installation.
• Assist in surveying and preparing the installation site.
• Prepare the necessary hardware and equipment for installation.
• Prepare the work site by removing old signage and preparing mounting surfaces.
• Perform signage installation tasks including wall-mounting, hanging, raceway installation, vinyl application, etc.
• Operate tools such as saws, drills, and rivet guns.
• Mount interior and exterior signage to walls or substrates.
• Follow precise assembly and installation instructions.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures in installation phases.
• Install signage in accordance with work orders.
• Perform quality control inspections.
