Job summary

DesignElement of NC is seeking a skilled Sign Fabricator to join our in-house production team. You will construct and assemble custom signage using aluminum, acrylic, and wood, reading technical drawings and ensuring components meet exact specifications.

Work in a fast-paced shop, operate brakes, shears, grinders, welders, and drill presses, and maintain clean, organized work area while meeting deadlines. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential, with the ability to lift 50+ lbs and use

Qualifications

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of 3-dimensional sign products and prototypes.
• Works well in a team environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient math skills and the ability to calculate quantities of product on hand.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with the production manager to maintain the workflow to meet all deadlines and stay on top of running jobs.
• Positioning, aligning, fitting, welding and fabricating parts to indicated specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to ensure accurate sign production.
• The ability to utilize rulers, tapes, and measuring devices to ensure work is accurate to specifications.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, shears, grinders, welders, and drill presses to manufacture and assemble metal components.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized installation area in the shop.
• Work with other production and installation team members toward the successful completion of all jobs.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as owner/general manager/production manager deems necessary.
