Job summary

Allied Electric Sign & Awning Co. is seeking a hands-on Shop Associate to support fabrication and assembly of high-quality signage, from channel letters to large pole and monument signs.

The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and teamwork across departments to ensure signs are accurate and ready for installation. You will work with your team lead in a fast-paced environment, handling material gathering, quality checks, and documentation to maintain safety and efficiency on

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders and drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to assist across multiple departments as production needs shift.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors.
• Willing to work overtime when required.
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, designs, and drawings (Required).
• Assemble signs including channel letters, cabinets, pole signs, and monument signs.
• Trim-cap channel letters and complete related fabrication tasks.
• Install LED modules and wiring into electrical signs.
• Handle final assembly of components to prepare signs for installation.
• Assist where needed across departments such as graphics, trim cap, channel letters, and packing.
• Follow daily instructions provided by the team lead or supervisor.
• Gather required hardware and materials for each job, ensuring all parts are complete, accurate, and ready for installation.
• Perform quality checks on all completed sign components.
• Complete required paperwork for each job, including work order updates and sign-offs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
