Leidos is seeking a SIEM Engineer to join a fast-paced, SAFe-based program in the Intel Sector’s Cyber & Analytics Business Area. The role focuses on configuring event data collection, parsing, correlation, and visualization to support actionable insights and robust security monitoring.

A SIEM Engineer is needed to join a high performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a large, complex, fast-paced program. Program execution follows DEVOPS best practices and employs robust development, test, and production environments. We are using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and test automation tools alongside a full suite of team collaboration tools. The program provides system engineering, development, test, integration and operational support for a program that is focused on injecting new technology and adding advanced capabilities while continuing to support an on-going mission and operational system.
The selected candidate will be responsible for configuring the collection, parsing, correlation, and visualization of event data for a critical operational system. She/he will apply strong expertise in system administration, log management, event correlation, and threat detection to support the development and sustainment of capabilities that analyze collected data, generate actionable insights, and help determine whether monitored systems are operating as expected. Working as part of a collaborative team, the candidate will support the configuration of systems used by analysts and end users, as well as the collection and extraction of data used to enhance existing and future reports, analytics, and dashboards. The individual will also contribute to the design and development of reporting solutions based on end-user requirements. In addition, the selected candidate will work across teams to improve the definition and quality of audit data being collected, with the goal of reducing false positives and false negatives and strengthening the overall accuracy and effectiveness of system monitoring.
