Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis is seeking a hands-on SIEM Engineer II in Austin to deepen expertise in SIEM platforms, manage ingestion, normalization, and enrichment of security telemetry, and support detection engineering, incident response and security analytics.

You will collaborate with Cybersecurity Operations, IT, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams to onboard log sources, develop detections, and create dashboards that drive visibility and response, with a strong growth mindset for learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years IT or engineering experience with 2–3 years in SIEM, logging, or security analytics.
• Hands-on SIEM platforms experience: Chronicle, Splunk, Exabeam, or Sentinel.

Responsibilities

• Implement, optimize, and manage the Firm’s SIEM platform and telemetry ingestion.
• Develop detections, correlation logic, and alerting for security incidents.
• Create dashboards, reports, and data quality checks to support SOC operations.
