Job summary

Career Listings seeks an experienced SIEM Content Developer to support a Department of War cybersecurity mission in Columbus, OH. You will research and develop new threat detection use cases based on emerging threats, threat intelligence, and analyst feedback.

Responsibilities include building SIEM-enhancing scripts, auditing data feeds, and coordinating with stakeholders to prioritize alerts and signatures for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Five years of information technology experience.
• Three years with a SIEM in a content development or IR role.
• Three years of system and/or network administration.
• Understanding of log formats.
• Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Strong understanding of network architecture.
• Experience scripting with PowerShell, Python, or SPL.
• Understanding of Defense-in-Depth.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop threat detection use cases for the DoW cybersecurity mission.
• Develop custom scripts to enhance SIEM functionality.
• Review data feeds quality and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify critical systems and components, establish alerting priorities, and create signatures tailored to programs.
