Akina, Inc. seeks a highly skilled SIE3 for a TS/SCI - Polygraph role in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will integrate, install, configure, upgrade and support COTS/GOTS software across a heterogeneous OS landscape.

You will also lead customer-facing operations, triage requests, gather technical requirements, and provide standby support. Strong scripting, Linux, CI/CD, IaC, Docker/Kubernetes experience required.

Description:

The role serves in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

• Provide expertise in integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.
• Serve as the primary customer-facing operations point of contact.
• Manage request triage.
• Gather and scope technical requirements.
• Provide standby support for ad-hoc critical thinking requests as directed by the mission customer.

Position Required Skills:

• Experience with Linux CLI
• Experience writing scripts using Shell/Bash/Python
• Linux administration experience including software integration, service management, configuration management, and routine sustainment operations related to provisioning, storage, and networking
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in a Linux environment
• Experience with stream/batch Big Data processing and analytic frameworks including Spark
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience deploying containerized services under Kubernetes orchestration
• Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
• Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration
• Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software
• Generate documentation for the full software stack
• Update software for sustainment support
• Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting
• Execute test codes for characterization of software performance
• Provide software product ownership for HPC tools
• Working knowledge of CM tools, web documentation, and issue tracking

Position Desired Skills:

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

SIE3 Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience with integrating, installing, configuring, upgrading, compiling, and supporting COTS/GOTS software in a heterogeneous operating system environment.

The individual shall have five (5) years full time Computer Science directly related work that can be substituted for a degree and have at least eight (8) years of demonstrable experience.

An industry recognized professional certification, as defined in the TT0s, may substitute as one (1) year experience.

A Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field may substitute for two (2) years' experience.

Salary Range: $201k-$246k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
