Job summary

Tufts Medical Center’s Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) is a nationally recognized 10-bed level one trauma unit providing expert post-surgical care for complex conditions. The Clinical Care Technician role is 36 hours per week on a day/night rotation with rotating weekend shifts and holidays, reporting to the nursing team to assist in direct patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; BLS certification required.
• Preferred CNA/MA certification; Nursing Fundamentals course.
• 1 year of related experience as NA/PCA/CCT/PCT preferred.
• Acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN in patient care and communicates findings to the nurse.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Prepares rooms for admission/transfer/discharge and ensures equipment readiness.
• Transports patients and acts as a sitter as directed by nursing staff.
• Supports procedures, collects specimens, monitors equipment, and maintains safety.
