Job summary

FedEx is hiring for a Full-Time AM Shuttle/DOT position in New York. The role involves shuttle operations with a non-articulated vehicle, loading/unloading, and sorting packages. The candidate must obtain SIDA and CDL/HAZ credentials and be able to work a 0430–1230 shift, Monday through Saturday.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass basic/recurrent training. Knowledge of FMCSA rules and the ability to communicate in English in a noisy environment are essential for

FT AM Shuttle/DOT Monday – Saturday with day off to be determined approximately 0430-1230 must be able to obtain SIDA, CDL/HAZ

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurrency training. Must be licensed for type of equipment assigned. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Ability to work with power and hand tools. Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. FMCSA covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids.
