Job summary

AMR in San Diego, CA is hiring a Shuttle Driver-Wheelchair for a full-time role. You will transport patients to and from facilities, ensure safety and comfort, and follow all safety procedures during shifts. Position requires a CA state driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and a clean driving record.

Must be 21 or older. Competitive pay at $18.43 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to operation and dispatch requests to transport customers to and from facilities.
  • Document trip details and follow policies while protecting patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe, clean vehicle environment and complete the shift checklist; report issues to Fleet Manager.
  • Communicate using standard radio codes and adhere to information security standards.
  • Operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, and wheelchair, with PPE as needed.
  • Collaborate professionally with health, safety personnel, drivers and operations team.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Shuttle Driver-Wheelchair FULL-TIME Opportunity

1k sign-on bonus with commitment

$18.43 per hour

We’re hiring Drivers that will respond to emergency and/or non-emergency requests for transportation needs and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Drivers will respond to operation and dispatch requests and use the necessary tools, maps and addresses to efficiently transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
  • Clearly document trip information details and adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Take pride in maintaining a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
  • Use appropriate communication methods including standard radio transmission codes to effectively respond and route patients and comply with the company’s information security standards.
  • Drivers will operate transportation equipment including stretcher, hydraulic lift, wheelchair as well as be able to use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow drivers and operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • CA State Driver’s License
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • CPR card
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to apply
