Job summary

Nicholas and Company in Reno, NV is seeking a responsible Shuttle Driver to safely transport trailers from the depot to the distribution center. The position offers a 3-day-a-week rhythm with a Sunday night through Thursday night schedule starting at 7:00 pm and continuing until finish.

Pay is $30.00 per hour, with full-time benefits. Responsibilities include backhauls, local pickups, DOT-compliant pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintaining safe, clean equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL.
• One year of commercial driving experience.
• Meets all DOT requirements and possesses a current medical card.

Responsibilities

• Backhauls and/or local pickups when needed.
• Operate electronic log system to track stops and locations.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and meet standard hygiene requirements.
• Keep equipment clean and report any vehicle repair issues immediately.
• Safely operate a tractor trailer in traffic and in variable weather conditions.
• Report any routing changes and/or problems with timely delivery to Supervisor.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip in accordance with DOT regulations and company procedures.
• Obey all traffic rules and immediately report accidents or damages, report repair issues immediately.
• Successfully complete monthly safety training courses.

Shuttle Driver

We are looking for a responsible Shuttle Driver to safely transport trailers from the depot to the distribution center. You will make deliveries, pick up backhauls, unload, transfer returns, and helping around the yard when needed.

Schedule: Sunday night through Thursday night. From 7:00 pm - Until finished.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (with internal team members and customers).
