Job summary

Imperial Beverage is seeking a CDL-A delivery driver in Kalamazoo, MI to shuttle beer, wine and spirits between our warehouses. You’ll be home daily and join a Michigan family-owned company that values teamwork and safe driving.

Shifts run Monday through Thursday evenings starting at 10:30pm with a 3-day weekend; duties include pre-trip inspections, loading, delivering to warehouses and customers, and returning to Kalamazoo. Pay ranges from $27.00 to $31.00 per hour, with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license required.
• Strong customer service and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 165 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections.
• Verify loading and loading accuracy.
• Deliver to Kalamazoo and other Michigan warehouses.

• Handle returns and empty containers for Kalamazoo warehouse.
• Occasionally deliver or pickup from customers or suppliers.
• Operate delivery vehicle safely per DOT rules.
• Return to Kalamazoo warehouse after deliveries.

The minimum compensation for this role is listed below; pay will be determined based on experience:

$27.00-31.00 per hour

Eat. Sleep. Shuttle Beer. Repeat: Our drivers are home daily after hauling our beverages across Michigan to ensure each of our warehouses have the product they need for our customers. We take great pride in choosing drivers who drive safely, and are willing to jump in and help co-workers and suppliers when needed. This position requires a CDL-A, and will leave from our Kalamazoo warehouse Monday-Thursday evenings (That's right...a 3-day weekend!) at 10:30pm with a return early in the morning.

A Day in the Life

• Arrive to the warehouse in the evening to perform your pre-trip inspection
• Verify accuracy and proper loading of product on your truck
• Drive your truck to our other warehouses
• Unload product from your truck and help load product on the local delivery trucks
• Load your truck with any returns and empty containers for the Kalamazoo warehouse
• Occasionally make a delivery or pickup from a customer or supplier
• Safely operate delivery vehicle according to DOT rules and regulations
• Return to the Kalamazoo warehouse after delivery has been made

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Current Commercial Driver's License- Class A CDL
• 19 years of age or older
• Must have a reliable personal cell phone with the ability to receive calls and text messages and with a cell phone number available internally
• Customer service skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull an average of 50 pounds and move up to 165 pounds
• Ability to perform physical and driving tasks while being exposed to varying weather conditions
• Good driving record
• Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per day
