DATTCO, Inc. is seeking Shuttle Drivers for our Bridgeport, CT location. We offer full-time and part-time roles with a fixed schedule that keeps you home most nights and opportunities across Southern New England.

You'll operate late-model shuttle buses, prioritize safety, and deliver exceptional service to students, groups, and corporate clients. Competitive pay at $28 per hour plus comprehensive benefits, CDL training options, and a supportive operations team.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Passenger (P) and (F) Endorsement or enroll in our training program to obtain endorsements.
• Must have Airbrake or be willing to obtain it through our training program.
• Clean driving record and meet DMV eligibility standards.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA medical qualification standards and hold a valid DOT medical certificate.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including background checks and drug testing.
• Must participate in DOT/FMCSA and/or state random drug and alcohol testing programs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate late-model Shuttle vehicles on local and regional trips.
• Provide outstanding customer service and create a welcoming passenger experience.
• Assist passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and trip-related needs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
• Communicate with Dispatch and Operations to ensure on-time service.
• Complete trip reports and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and perform basic operational checks.

We are currently hiring Full Time and Part Time Shuttle Driver for our Bridgeport, CT location!

What You’ll Do:

• As a DATTCO Shuttle Driver, you'll do more than get passengers from Point A to Point B—you'll provide safe, reliable, and memorable travel experiences throughout Southern New England.

• Travel to exciting destinations while transporting school groups, athletic teams, tour groups, corporate clients, and charter passengers.
• Safely operate our late model, Shuttle vehicles on local and regional trips.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming, professional experience for every passenger.
• Assist passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and trip related needs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure your coach is safe, clean, and road ready.
• Navigate a variety of routes, road conditions, and destinations while maintaining the highest safety standards.
• Communicate with Dispatch and Operations to ensure smooth, on time service.
• Provide required passenger safety briefings and respond professionally to unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Complete trip reports, vehicle inspections, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Help protect the customer experience by addressing passenger concerns and reporting opportunities for service improvements.
• Maintain the appearance and professionalism of your assigned vehicle, including fueling and basic operational checks.
• Represent DATTCO's commitment to safety, reliability, and outstanding customer service on every trip.

Requirements:

• CDL Class B with Passenger (P) and (F) Endorsement – Or ask about our Entry Level Driver Training Program to obtain your CDL or required endorsements through us.
• Must have Airbrake or willing to obtain it through our training program.
• Must have an acceptable driving record and meet DMV and DATTCO eligibility standards.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA medical qualification standards, including the physical qualification standards in 49 CFR Part 391, and maintain a valid DOT medical certificate as required.
• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including state and national criminal background checks, motor vehicle record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and any other screenings required by law or DATTCO policy.
• Must participate in DOT/FMCSA and/or state-required random drug and alcohol testing programs as applicable to CDL drivers.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly and perform required vehicle inspections.

• Ability to assist passengers during boarding, exiting, and emergency evacuations.
