Job summary

SP+ in Aurora, CO is seeking a Shuttle Driver to operate shuttle buses safely and assist passengers with a courteous, professional demeanor. You will perform vehicle inspections, keep buses clean, and ensure timely, safe service across designated routes.

Hours are Saturday 1pm–8pm and Sunday 8am–3pm; wage is $18.50 per hour. A valid drivers license and DMV record are required, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License Requirement: valid state drivers license with current address and acceptable DMV record.
• Availability to Work: special shift requirements; 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: ability to read, write and present information to customers and employees.
• Mathematical Skills: basic arithmetic with money.
• Appearance: neat, clean, and uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: ability to stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of bus interiors.
• Fuel buses, log trip counts and assist disabled passengers.
• Be on time and in uniform for all scheduled days.
• Hold a valid state drivers license and maintain DMV record.
• Assist customers and advise Facility Manager as needed.
• Know garage areas, major streets, landmarks and freeways.
• Assist with luggage and travel items; operate shuttle buses at airports if needed.

Responsibilities

Position: Shuttle Driver

Hours: Satruday 1pm to 8pm and Sunday 8am to 3pm

Rate of Pay: $18.50 per hour

Basic Function: Responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers.

• Performing vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors, fueling of buses, logging trip counts and assisting disabled passengers.
• Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state-issued driver's license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty.
• Have and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Courteously assist Customers by answering any questions they may have. If necessary, direct the Customer to the Facility Manager for further assistance.
• Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office.
• Substitute for Cashiers or Valets, when necessary, if authorized.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage.
• Assisting customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable (e.g. operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience Required: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: The employee will be required to have and maintain a valid state driver's license, with a current address and an acceptable DMV record.

Availability to Work:Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 3rd shift and/or week-ends may be a requirement.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

Appearance: Employees will be required to maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

Salary Range: $18.50 per hour
